Dr. Brenden Taylor hails from Bastrop, TX where she attended Bastrop High School. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in biomedical science. Dr. Taylor completed her dental school training at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. During dental school, she received numerous recognitions including: Dean’s Excellence List, Outstanding Academic Achievement in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Award, Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Outstanding Academic Achievement Award, and she was inducted into the Mu Mu Chapter of OKU, the national dental honor society. Throughout dental school, she served as an officer in the Pediatric Education Dental Society. With this group and others, she spent her free time volunteering at the San Jose Clinic and participating in Give Kids a Smile Day. Both opportunities offered reduced or free dental care to an underprivileged population in greater Houston. She was also active with Special Smiles and the Teddy Bear Check-up where she performed oral health screenings for children with special needs. In fact, it was the work with these wonderful children that steered her toward specializing in pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Taylor continued her education by completing a pediatric residency at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. She received both a certificate in pediatric dentistry and a Masters of Science in Dentistry for her research and thesis defense. She is a current Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and she attained board certification in 2013. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Houston Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (HAPD). In the past, she has held both secretary/treasurer and vice-president positions of HAPD, and she currently serves as the president of HAPD.

Dr. Taylor enjoys traveling, cooking, and running half marathons - she recently finished the Houston Half Marathon! Her and her two children, Jack and Clara, love living in the Museum District with their shorkie, Badgley.
